I would like to introduce you to Haviona (I really hope I spelled her name correctly). Haviona is 6 years old. I first met her a couple of years ago at one of the Celtic Festivals, probably at an Albannach set. She enjoys helping sell the Celtic Pink Ribbon CDs, holding them up above her head when the bands talk about the compilations to the crowds and holding the bag of CDs for us while we handle sales.
Skip ahead a couple of years. Haviona has now decided she wants to do something to help raise money to "save the tatas." Last year she made some rubber band bracelets in pink and purple and sold them. She was so proud to turn over the money she made to The Audacious Divas to help fund a cure for breast cancer.
This year Haviona arrived a Mid-Winter festival with a display box stocked with rubber band bracelets. She and her little friend Kendra hit the floor determined to make some sales. It was adorable to watch them work the room. Every so often they would run up to our table, throw a bunch of money at us and run back out to make more sales.
These precious little angels raised $206!!!!
I'm so proud of them. They are proof that even the smallest among us can do great things when they set their mind to it. Well done!!!! And THANK YOU!!!
