I honestly can't recall the first time I met Dulahan, but it was probably at The Riverfront Music Festival in Cuyahoga Falls, OH. It just feels like I've always known them. Dulahan has been a part of all three Celtic Pink Ribbon compilations.
In 2013 Bart Cason from the band organized the Celtic Pink Ribbon Golf Tournament & Celebration of Celtic Music. Bart has a personal connection to breast cancer and took on the major feat of planning a fundraising event. I tried to help as best I could from VA, but he did the lion's share of the work. I'm not a golfer, but I learned a lot about golf tournaments through that process. The biggest lesson learned is NOT to go out with Bart the night before the fundraiser. It took a lot of Advil to make it through the event. LOL. The event was a so much fun. Mossy Moran, The Sandcarvers, Homeland and Dulahan all donated their talent to put on a kick arse concert following the tournament. There was even an after-party at a club near the course. I hope we can do another tournament in the future.
The band has been very good friends of the Celtic Pink Ribbon efforts, and to me. They are based in Ohio, so I don't get to see them often enough, but it is always a great time when we do all get together. I love their music and their shows. I hope one day to convince Kyle to write an original tune for one of the compilations.
